Re: Tonight’s Pink Scorpio Full Moon, Fixed T-Square, & Falling Safely
Tonight we exist beneath the light of a Scorpio full moon, ruled by Mars in Cancer. A watery moon ruled by a watery Mars in a psychologically intricate mutual reception – the Moon rules Cancer, Mars rules Scorpio.
Scorpio in our birth chart shows us what we keep buried, possibly by choice, though more often than not, without our knowing. Scorpio is who we are when we’re not posturing for social media, or flexing at a conference. Scorpio is who we are when the lights are off. Scorpio suns and risings call this privacy. They feel secure in their mysteriousness. Scorpio moons want to be discovered, slowly, as an unfolding – but only if it’s on their own exacting terms. ♏️
The Sun, Moon and Saturn are in a T-square: an opposition between the Sun in Taurus and the Moon in Scorpio, and both luminaries squaring Saturn in Aquarius. This is a T-square involving fixed signs. Fixed signs like Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius cherish consistency, commitment, long-term growth, and depth of experience. They are also prone to obstinacy, denial, getting stuck, and an unwillingness to outgrow difficult but deeply ingrained patterns. The planets in a T-square point to where we might benefit from unclenching.
The moon exalts in Taurus and falls in Scorpio. Falling safely is one of the first things one learns in the martial arts, and in skateboarding. Falling can hurt – in sport and in love. Falling isn’t failing. Falling shakes us out of postural fixedness, and challenges our ideas of the arbitrary. The first stirrings of love are so striking because we’re discovering that deep beneath our jadedness, we still have within us the capacity for surprise. The possibility of electricity. The vulnerability to enchantment. In the grip of this T-Square, can you give yourself permission to take a few risks? And I pray you land safely if you fall.
