“Gallivanting” - a sonic mix for the SALA: Instant Kalpa(s) at Thailand Biennale, Phuket 2026, Invited by Liquid Architecture

As part of the Instant Kalpa(s) exhibition at the Thailand Biennale, Liquid Architecture invites Angelita Biscotti to deliver "Gallivanting,” a sound and music mix to be played at Barbansan as part of the programs 'sonic offerings' series.

Angelita Biscotti (AUS) delivers an eerie and surrealistic sound collage with techno flourishes. An uncanny blend of gonzo field recordings from Manila (Philippines) and Naarm (Melbourne, Australia), with improvisations on guitar, bass, piano, synthesisers and electronic processing. Composition, recording and mixing exclusively by Angelita Biscotti.

Original sound design for Ebony Rattle’s Winona (2023 season)

REVIEWS:

“A particularly stellar element of Winona was its sound design and score - composed by musician Angelita Biscotti, rich synth sounds carry emotional tension throughout the piece, throbbing with intensity… Loud and abrasive without being overbearing, Biscotti’s ability to navigate between the spectrum of intensity is enviable. Her delivery of bold, brash sounds contrasted beautifully against more subtle, droning moments, and the overall construction of the soundscape of Winona gave the work a sense of polish and professionalism. I was reminded of the scores to works such as Twin Peaks.” - Stephanie Grace, “Nothing Ever Happens in Brisbane,” 2024. Read the full review here.

“The dialogue is a tapestry of poetry, musings, reflections, and emotions with a killer soundscape, composed by Angelita Biscotti.” - Mistress of Culture Vultures, “Weekend Notes”, 2023. Read the full review here.

Winona was written directed and performed by EBONY RATTLE
