Militant clarity: Mohammed El-Kurd’s Venus placement

Under this weekend’s New Moon in Libra it makes sense to share something about Venus. I always remind people that Venus placements aren’t only about dating. They are excellent ways to explore artistic expression, advocacy style and sense of justice. In the work of Palestinian poet Mohammed El-Kurd, his Venus in Aries shows up as militant clarity (using psychoanalyst Dr Lara Sheehi's excellent phrase), unsentimental writing and the unproductiveness of pity.

My latest video briefly analyses excerpts from El-Kurd’s nonfiction book Perfect Victims and clips from recent interviews.

This lecture is an excerpt from my hour-long Venus in Aries workshop earlier in 2026. The full workshop video is on my YouTube channel.
