Malefics tell you the hard truths the benefics won’t. Time won’t always be on your side. Bad people often win (at least on the outside). Good things don’t last. No matter how hard you work, you might not always get there, not because it’s your fault or because you fell short in any way but because life can be like that. People lie, cheat, steal. The ones you love will let you down. You will repeat mistakes you swore you wouldn’t. Knowing all of this about life, what’s worth doing? Who’s it worth doing with? What do you desire? Who are you and who do you want to be?

Venus in Aries is the anti-clean girl Venus. That’s not to say she’s dirty or freaky, which is not to say that any of those things are bad. Smoothness, sweetness, and diplomacy are Venus’s wheelhouse and these sit at odds with Aries energy, Mars-led fiery cardinality: breaking things, moving quickly, resisting boredom and routine, choosing the hard way because it’s exciting. Uncompromising Aries is Venus’s detriment sign so here Venus does love, beauty, closeness, art in ways that are authentic. There is pleasure to be had in rejecting norms that were never going to accept you anyway.
